Dr. Marx has been involved in dentistry
since adolescence. His father was noted dental ceramist in New York City
and Dr. Marx always worked in his laboratory.
He grew up in a lower middle class
neighborhood in New York City.
He was the first in the family to
attend college.
SUNY Buffalo was kind enough to finance
his education.
Dr. Marx was a psychology major and
received a B.A. in 1971.
Dr. Michael Kostrov is a native of Boston, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Before dental school, Dr. Kostrov attended Tufts University where he completed his BS in Biology. While in college and dental school, he participated and coordinated numerous research studies including managing dental patients who were going through bone marrow transplants and dealing with patients with autoimmune disorders like Sjogren’s Syndrome.
